Located in Honolulu, T. H.
Opened in 1903 - as a 192 - room hotel.
It cost million
US
dollars to build.
Had been listed in the National Register of Historic Places on August 5th 1980 before being demolished shortly thereafter.
It also "became known as the father of the hotel industry in Hawaii" and has been noted as such with, The Honolulu Advertiser.
Interestingly, in 1917 the United States Army occupied the second floor while Fort Shafter was being completed.
Further, the interwar years saw the hotel's Roof Garden become one of Honolulu's most fashionable social venues.
And before being converted to offices in 1964...
The military also occupied most of the hotel during WWII.
