30mW Argon Laser Repair / Refurb Service (for KLA Surfscan 6420, SP1, AIT1, etc)

We refurbish, align, and test 30mW argon-ion laser heads for use in industrial applications.  Typical JDSU models that we refurbish are:

We bring burned-out laser heads back to like-new condition by replacing the tube with a new high quality tube, align, replace electronic components that have failed or near failure, and test the laser to make sure it performs to new OEM specs.  We warrant our lasers for 5,000 hrs/12 months, and will repair or replace any laser not meeting this warranty requirement under normal operating conditions at our cost, except that customer shall pay freight to return the laser head to us for testing/evaluation and repair.
Normal process for this service is the customer ships us his burned-out, refurbishable laser head core.  We refurbish the laser head and return it to the customer, generally within 30 days.  (We do try to keep a few laser heads in stock when immediate delivery is required, but cannot guarantee this service will always be available unless customer participates in our laser stocking program - see details below.)  Customer pays for all freight and shipping costs to get the laser to us, and returned to the customer.  Customer may ship the laser head core to us via any commercial carrier, making sure to box the laser head sufficiently to avoid damage in transit.  We will make sure the laser head is packaged properly for cleanroom service after refurbishment, and will then return it to customer via standard ground transportation (usually 3-4 day in-transit time).
If customer wants to make sure a laser head is in stock when needed, he may ship us a core ahead of time with a down payment of  50%, whereupon we will go ahead and refurbish customer's laser head and hold it for the customer's order to ship, and final payment of the remaining 50%.  We will periodically test the laser head while in our stock to make sure it is holding its charge and efficiently producing a 30mW beam until shipped to the customer.
