Is an impressive gorgeous fine antique Chinese famille rose enamel
porcelain Teapot with lid.
Excellent porcelain quality and superb hand painted enamel
decoration in a famille rose pallette.
The Teapot is decorated in a beautiful pattern "Emperor shows the
way - walk in a mountains landscape" Emperor and three serving
court members. The reverse is decorated with a Chinese calligraphy
"Poem".
Lid is decorated in a "Tea time" pattern, Emperor seated together
with two scholars in a mountains landscape and enjoying Tea time.
Lid opposite side bears a Chinese "calligraphic inscription".
Teapot is marked underneath with a hand painted square four
characters Tongzhi mark of the period in iron red enamel, and is
fairly safe to date it to the second half of the 19th century, Tongzhi
period.
An exceptional late Qing period Chinese example, a great addition
in any Asian Chinese Collection, sure to grow in value.

Porcelain Teapot is
in a very good condition, with an authentic age
patina. Teapot shows three tiny top rim edge chips and lid one tiny
rim edge chip as shown in my last four scans. Teapot and lid are
free from any other hair line crack, chip, damage and both are free
from old restores. Teapot and lid hand painted enamel decoration
is in great condition with no scratches or paint loss. Wood carved
stand is in very good condition free from chips, cracks or any
damage. Teapot sold as is, as found and as pictured.
