    Description
    ANTIQUE TEAPOT
    Lovely antique engraved brass teapot measuring about 4" in height and 5" in width -- it is exactly 5" tall including the lid and 7" wide to the spout tip. Featuring a short, squat stylized gooseneck spout, it sits on a kick foot and is completely engrave decorated with lovely florals, geometrics and scalloped designs. Fitted with a dual, swing brass handle hinge mount brackets, it is complete with the original fitted lid finished with a fruit and vine finial - I'm not sure what type of fruit the buds represent - the vine creates a small loop as shown.
    Marked MADE IN CHINA, condition is very nice with no dents, holes, cracks or damage -- the interior bears residue and surface rust - the exterior bears it's original age related finish and has not been polished - I think the teapot is solid brass with some type of finish to bring out the decorative engraving -- the interior of the lid is heavy metal as shown - looks like zinc - the handles are solid brass.
    I think this is a beautiful, early teapot - wonderful look and a lovely addition to any home, collection or display!
