I'm offering "The Gig Horse" in an 11" by 14" print. The picture was originally done for use on the poster of a driving show my father organized. I decided to show a Hackney horse going at a fast trot on an open road, hoping to illustrate the special thrill and fun of sitting behind a powerful stepper.
"The Gig Horse" would add drama and beauty to the home of any Hackney fancier. This edition is limited to 125, 11" by 14" prints at .00 each plus .50 for US shipping. All are signed and numbered.
JAMES WALLS has been portraying horses of all breeds for the better part of 50 years. Over these years, he has produced portraits of many great individuals. Mr. Walls has also done posters for major horse shows, including the Lexington Junior League Show and the prestigious Gladstone Driving Event. He also conducted a very popular course in equine art for many years, and has lectured on the subject of animal portrayal at prominent art colleges. In 1986, Mr. Walls completed portraits of the 17 "Foundation Sires" of the American Saddlebred, all of which are on permanent display at the American Saddle Horse Museum in Lexington, Kentucky.
This print is from an edition of 125 signed and numbered prints. The picture has been printed on high-quality acid-free paper.
