This felted toadstool hat is a photo prop to use on newborn babies. I designed it for photographic studios and for parents, who want to have really unique photo shoots of their little ones. I make this woodland baby hat in wet felting technique. It consists of superfine merino wool which has a very nice texture in the pictures. It is also durable, allergen free, soft and friendly to babies’ skin.
You can use this mushroom baby hat as a photography prop in your studio or during outdoor shoots. It will look equally lovely in nature and on woodland backdrops. You can also use it as a photo booth accessory. As it is a handmade item, there are no two hats alike. It means that the hat you get may differ slightly from the one in the pictures.
I make this felted toadstool hat in the size perfect for a standard newborn’s head. In the pictures you can see how it looks on a felted ball with circumference of 38,5 cm (15.2 in). This is the size of a baby’s head in the age of 1-2 months. If you need any customization, please let me know before you place your order.

Safety note
This baby hat contains long fibers and is for photographic purposes only. Do not leave newborns alone with it and make sure they do not put it into their mouths.
Care instructions
Due to its antistatic properties wool does not absorb dirt and dust easily. Therefore it does not have to be cleaned as often as other materials. However, if your hat gets dirty, you can remove dust and debris with a lint roller or vacuum cleaner. If there are any stains on it, use a damp cloth or hand wash the hat. Then stuff it to keep its shape and leave it to dry. I will include hand washing instructions with your order.
