    Description

    Hardy Zenith Lightweight Fly Reel in original box and 30lb backing. Reel used mainly for steelhead and salmon fishing.  In great mechanical shape.  The finish is discolored on the back of the reel due to an adhesive name tag "Jim Flink" that was applied for years. The reel was originally purchased and owned by Dr. James Flink, who as a research professor at UC Irvine, was the world authority on the effects of the automobile industry on American culture. He was acquainted with famous fly tyers, Cal Bird, Polly Rosborough, and Bud Lilly.
