Lunar Greenhouse
is an educational game for the Apple II.
The player has been tasked with growing crops in a newly established lunar colony to ensure there is sufficient nutrition to feed the hungry astronauts. In order to prepare for this mission, the player must experiment with different food crops to determine their preferred levels of light, water, temperature, and plant food. There are 3 possible settings for light, water, and food, and multiple temperature settings. After determining the ideal growing condition for crops, the player is then transported to the moon, where they must attempt to replicate their previous success to grow specific crops for the hungry astronauts. The player is rewarded points based upon the quantity and timing of their yield.
