Rochester Gem No. 2 Skeleton Fly Reel
Here is a Rochester Gem No. 2 skeleton fly reel, a seldom seen vertically mounted version of the Carlton and Rochester Gem No. 1 side mount reel.  Marked "No. 2 Gem" "Rochester Reel Co." "90 Chambers St New York" on the tail plate.  There is also a Sept 6, 1910 patent for the still functional click and drag mechanism.  Exterior is tarnished - I have not attempted to clean it.  Spins freely and the click works well.  Note the twin line guides.
Weighs 2.9 ounces.
