Vintage Victorian Brass Fireplace Fender, 70 Inch long.
This is a beautiful early 20th Century Brass antique fireplace fender.
The brass base has a flat top with tapered edges and a flat front and back. The base wraps around a structural iron support.
There are 4 brass finials on the front and 1 on each rear corner.  A  rope twist design rail runs around the top through the finials.
This fireplace fender has very nice soft patina, but as it is all brass it could be polished to a brighter finish if that is the look you want.
As can be seen in the photos, the structural iron support under the front right corner has a broken section which has caused the brass mitered corner to open up slightly.
