NOTE: THIS IS A SERVICE OFFERING ONLY FOR YOUR RADIO CHASSIS - No radio is being offered for sale as part of this offering. The purchaser of this service is responsible for all shipping charges and service turn-around time is dependent in part upon when your radio is received and existing workload at that time. Turnaround time can generally be expected to be 15 days or less unless parts have to be ordered.
The images for this service depict several different models of chassis covered by this offering.  Please note that older model Trans-Oceanics with the Locktal tubes are not included although those sets can be serviced outside this offereing.  .
FULL CHASSIS SERVICE as offered here includes most of the common age-related issues including chassis cleaning, tube testing (tube replacement at extra cost), replacement of all paper and bumblebee caps as well as electorlytics (ceramic caps and mica caps are not routinely replaced), switches and contacts are cleaned and lubricated, dial cords are replaced, and full IF and RF alignment is included.
If you elect to send the entire radio, I will test peripherals such as the Wavemagnet and telescopic antennas, connecting cables, etc. at no extra cost unless repairs are needed. No extra cost repairs will be billed without prior approval.  All replacement parts including vacuum tubes will be approved in advance and billed as extra charges.
COSMETIC REPAIR/RESTORATION SERVICES
Cosmetic restoration is offered as an extra cost iem (.00 for H500 and all 600 series radios, 0 FOR G500 AND 8G005 models since cosmetic service automatically includes a replacement dial cover).  Cosmetics include cleaning and deodorizing of the cabinet, repair of minor structural and fabric covering repairs, full re-dye of the case, polishing and clear-coating of all brass fixtures, and cleaning and polishing of plastic trim.
HOW TO GET SERVICE:
1) Ship radio to: Tom Johnson, 108 Horizon Ridge Dr, McKinney, Texas 75071.
2) PACK YOUR RADIO SECURELY in a sturdy container to avoid damage in transit.
3) Enclose any observations, notes, symptoms, or areas you want special attention for.

Following my initial inspection, I will notify you of my assessment and notify you of anything out of the ordinary.

You may ship the chassis only or the entire radio. If you send the entire set, I will perform final tweaking on it in the cabinet at no extra charge.
WARRANTY:
All parts and labor are warranted for a period of 90 days.  No on-going warrantey is offered due to the age of vintage electronic equipment.  My objective is to return the radio to you in as near the original as-new operating condition as possible.  If there are questions about any aspect of this service, please inquire and I will answer your questions fully.
